KU Leuven initiated NBD 2017 with a fantastic event on March 7. Thanks to Jeroen Aeles and the sports biomechanics group of the human movement biomechanics research group for getting kicking off NBD this year. They did demos of force-velocity profiling in athletes with sprint tests and then demonstrated 3D mo-cap, force plates, EMG and a split belt treadmill. They received great reactions from both students and teachers and they hope that they have encouraged this group of students to reach an easy conclusion: biomechanics is awesome 🙂

Jeroen and group sincerely hope the rest of the world will have a Biomechanics Day just as awesome as they had and that everyone enjoys it just as much!
